Preparation
We love meatballs as they are so versatile and can be prepared East or West. Having them readily available in the freezer is a lifesaver for working professionals and busy families. They can be prepared in so many ways to be eaten with noodles, pastas & rice. Keep a few to fill your lunch sandwiches for the next day. Ours never last that long! Here's our quick recipe.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 1 Onion (Optional), diced
- 2 Cinnamon sticks, roughly crushed
- 6 tbsp Sweet Soy Sauce
- 500g Meatballs
- 20ml water
DIRECTIONS
Step 1. Heat up cooking oil and sautee the onions and cinnamon sticks
Step 2. Once you can smell the aroma rise up, put in the meatballs and the sweet soy sauce. Add a little bit of water each time so as not to burn as you stir the sauce all over the meatballs. If you want more gravy, you can add more sweet sauce and water. This recipe is for a sauce coated meatball which is not too wet when used as bread fillings.
Step 3. Serve with rice, noodles or bread. Garnish as you wish. Done. Enjoy!
